i was searching the net for any kind of tuts or help , and then ...
i found masters zap blog and there a post about mental ray skin and ways to edit it <a href="http://mentalraytips.blogspot.com/2008/04/beauty-isnt-only-skin-deep-combining.html">HERE</a><br />
in there i found some edited version of the native mental ray skin shader.<br />
after that i found <br />
"infinite realities" <a href="http://www.ir-ltd.net/mental-ray-skin-phenomena">PAGE</a> on the same subject , and in there<br />
i found another skin shader that is also based on the master zap skin+ shader<br />
long story short i set down to try it and it completely changed my work.<br />
really sweet shader from <a href="http://darkcel.com/">tony reynolds</a><br />
here are some test renders :<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UlyhWZcaG0/Tqprf9g8SGI/AAAAAAAAAXs/rTSgOYIq7f8/s1600/skin_material_test.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UlyhWZcaG0/Tqprf9g8SGI/AAAAAAAAAXs/rTSgOYIq7f8/s320/skin_material_test.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
and here is the basic setup i used for the shader:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vtGDl-E_1WU/Tqprhq5FImI/AAAAAAAAAX0/Tfhj7-oyjq8/s1600/skin+material+settings.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vtGDl-E_1WU/Tqprhq5FImI/AAAAAAAAAX0/Tfhj7-oyjq8/s320/skin+material+settings.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
ok that's about it , now i need to render the sequence and see how it goes<br />
and maybe fix that creepy smile ...Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06409900033253465972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3975539541112518724.post-63585416192247761032011-09-01T11:36:00.000-07:002011-09-01T12:28:43.340-07:00performance capture test :)hi there<br />
this is a test i made for a performance capture workflow<br />
its kind of dated but i hope you'll like it :)<br />
its not in English so bare with me ...<br />
<br />
<iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cPEJTfJKfeI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06409900033253465972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3975539541112518724.post-85866769681871360142011-01-08T12:09:00.000-08:002011-01-08T12:18:06.527-08:002d face traking converted to morphsthis is a test i did of an idea i had for converting facial tracking<br />
into morph based animation...<br />
sounds confusing ??? i made a tutorial chart to explain the process :<br />
<br />
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ChwVE1r-5pHl45IS1kM6mQ?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_-L4FGjeiWdQ/TSjD7sc19_I/AAAAAAAAAP0/g037CjX6sak/s144/tut.jpg" height="108" width="144" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/danieldulitzky/Tests?feat=embedwebsite">tests</a></td></tr></table><br />
and here is fast video i made with my mad after effects skills<br />
of the process and the render test <br />
this is strait off the tracking conversion , no tweaking done yet and i left<br />
the animation of the eyes to be done manually<br />
(im blinking to much) the system is made in a way that i can just drop<br />
an animation layer on the gui and use the tracking as a base .<br />
enjoy.<br />
<br />
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aDNWBP0BZwU?fs=1" frameborder="0" height="344" width="425"></iframe><br />
<br />
i might do a tutorial in the future if there will be demand for it.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06409900033253465972noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3975539541112518724.post-24507503530976819512010-11-05T06:30:00.000-07:002010-11-05T06:30:48.581-07:00character concept part 2part 2<br /><br />not completely happy with it but i gotta move on and get back to the video clip<br />was fun anyway<br /><br /><br /><object style="background-image: url("http://i2.ytimg.com/vi/5WiA3LOgSes/hqdefault.jpg");" height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5WiA3LOgSes?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5WiA3LOgSes?fs=1&hl=en_US" allowscriptaccess="never" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="344" width="425"></embed></object>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06409900033253465972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3975539541112518724.post-34975908460799688032010-11-04T10:47:00.000-07:002010-11-04T10:49:21.160-07:00character concept art part 1just some concept art im working on<br />

this is a first draft previz for a video-clip im working on<br />
on my free time<br />
its just a third or so of the entire song , named "no one can stop me" (no pun intended)<br />
from "place of panic"<br />
i decided ill work on this video clip on my spare time and get better in the process <br />
but im finding out just how hard it is... the previz looks kind of funny but it was only intended to be<br />
a first draft just to figure out the timing of the shots and start plotting some camera angles.<br />
i really hope ill be able to finish this thing...ill keep posting my progress<br />
hope you like it<br />
